PLANNING UNDERWAY FOR DANCE PROFESSIONALS’ SUMMIT 2011
TAD is currently planning for our bi-annual Dance Professionals Summit of 2011. This weekend of professional development for studio and K-12 teachers, dancers, and directors offers a valuable networking and educational opportunity for the Tennessee dance community. We would like to hear from our members concerning their needs and wishes for content and master faculty. How can TAD be of service to you through the Summit? Summit 2011 is tentatively planned for January 8-9, 2011. Let us hear from you at info@tennesseedance.org with suggestions prior to December 15.

MEET TAD'S NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Karen Wilson has accepted the position of Executive Director. Karen is a former TAD Board member with 11 years of board service including holding the offices of Past President, President, General Vice President and Regional Vice President. She has a broad knowledge of TAD's programs and history and is committed to continuing the work of TAD. She is also currently Director of Dance at Center for Creative Arts in Chattanooga, where she oversees a growing dance department while teaching all levels of ballet to grades 6 -12. Stay informed on issues of arts advocacy both statewide and nationally. Become a member of Tennesseans for the Arts and Americans for the Arts.
