Dance Tennessee Day
on September 20, 2025
We want everyone to join in. We already have groups around the state who are going to have open houses and community events -- like line dancing in a small batch craft brew pub, community classes for seniors, Collage in Memphis is celebrating, and Nashville Ballet has big plans for the day. Plus much more. Join us in saluting the National Day of Dance Tennessee Style!
Pathways Youth Dance Conference
on September 27-28, 2025
The Pathways Youth Dance Conference, Tennessee Association of Dance’s reimagined fall event formerly known as the TAD Fall Dance Festival, is a dynamic two-day opportunity designed for students in grades 6 through 12. Set for September 27–28, 2025, this engaging conference blends high-caliber master dance classes with enriching panel discussions on pathways in dance—from company performance and theater to digital media, entrepreneurship, and beyond. Participants can showcase their talent through auditions, choreography competitions, and live evening performances, all while being inspired by a keynote from Nashville dancer Becca Hoback.
Whether you're a dancer, educator, or just passionate about movement, Pathways offers a vibrant platform to grow, connect, and elevate your dance journey—don’t miss this chance to explore, learn, and shine!

Tennessee Association of Dance (TAD) was chartered in 1971 to encourage, support and promote the development of dance. We are a 501(c)3 service organization that operates as the primary voice for advocacy, education, leadership, advancement, and policy for the art form and its constituencies in Tennessee.
By means of this website, TAD offers information to the general public about dance events and activities; dance related organizations and businesses with special emphasis on our members; community involvement opportunities; dance history; as well as government issues of local, state and national importance to those in the field.
Our members, via a special membership portal, will be able to get information about employment opportunities, auditions, master classes and workshops, doctors who work with dancers, and more. This information will provide members with an assortment of opportunities to grow their skills, network, perform, teach, gain employment, learn, heal, promote themselves, support the dance community, get involved, and be an advocate.
